England manager Gareth Southgate has not included any major surprises in his selection for the World Cup. The most notable name is that of James Maddison, the Leicester City playmaker who has only played one international game so far.
Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford, Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold and Chelsea player Mason Mount are also present in Qatar.
England will face Iran (November 21), the United States (November 25) and Wales (November 29) in Group B. Last year Southgate’s team lost the final of the European Championship on penalties from Italy.
