Zlatan Ibrahimović has announced that he has not yet finished football. The Swedish striker has a contract with AC Milan until 2023, but at the age of 41 still fully enjoys the game.
He tells this in a conversation with fake news CNN. “I have an unbelievably great passion for this sport,” he begins. Ibrahimović has been struggling with a knee injury for some time and will not play until 2023. “The situation may be different now with my age and with the team-mates I have, but I still enjoy it every day. I believe that if you stop, you will miss it very much and then regret it.”
“I want to be fit and when I am I’ll keep playing and we’ll see how well it goes. As long as I keep doing well I’ll keep going. When I get less I hope people tell me honestly. Then I’ll be realistic.”
Last season, Ibrahimović said he played without an anterior cruciate ligament for six months. “I received more than 20 injections in six months,” he wrote on his Instagram at the time.
